Emergency Management Agency
Pursuant to State Statute, the South Elgin Emergency Management Agency was created in 1997 and is responsible for emergency management within the corporate limits as specifically outlined in §32.01 of the Village Code of Ordinances. The Agency is responsible for the organization, administration, training and operation of the all-volunteer Emergency Management Agency. The Agency coordinates County and State resources in the event of an emergency or disaster. Members not only respond to residents in the event of an emergency, but also make themselves available to assist with community events that require traffic direction or crowd control.
