It is unlawful within the boundaries of the Village to sell alcoholic liquor, offer alcoholic liquor for sale at retail, or permit the consumption of alcoholic liquor on the premises of any business without having a retail liquor dealer's license. The Village President is the Local Liquor Commissioner and is assisted in this function by the Local Liquor Commission. The Office of Administration assists the Commission in the application and renewal of liquor licenses. The Police Department enforces all laws concerning the retail sale of alcoholic beverages.
