Getting Started
The Village of South Elgin encourages neighbors to build community spirit and organize a block party. The Block Party/Temporary Street Closure Application can be found here. Applications must be approved 30 days prior to the block party. Completion of the application will get you barricades to safely close off the street during your event. Staff will also let Police and Fire know you are having a Block Party so you will have one less contact to make. For questions, contact separksandrecreation@southelgin.com or call 847-622-0003.

Rental of the Rec to Your Deck trailer is available as part of a Block Party
Rentals begin February 1, 2024
Instead of renting from someone else, call SEPR’s “Rec to Your Deck” and let us bring the party to your door!
Includes:
• 8' RectangularTables (8)
• Chairs (50)
• Bags game
• 10 X 10 Tent
• Washers game
• 45" Weber Grill (Charcoal)

Reservations are accepted at Village Hall during normal business hours. The fee must be paid upon booking. When reserving Rec To Your Deck, a 10-day advance registration is required or an additional $25 fee is charged.

Pricing:
Deposit: $200 Check
Fee: $150 for the entire event
($50 additional for out of town up to 10 miles)
