Meetings and Notices

The Illinois Open Meetings Act requires public notice of all meetings, whether open or closed.  It also requires that an agenda of each regular meeting is prepared and posted at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting.  Public notice of special meetings, except in regard to a meeting held in the event of a bona fide emergency, must be given at least 48 hours before such special meeting - and the notice must also include the agenda for the special meeting.
