Earth Day Clean Up

Join the Village of South Elgin for an Earth Day clean up event Saturday, April 23 from 9-11am. The event also includes a document shredding opportunity as well as an e-waste drop off spot!

Park clean-up volunteers will meet at SEBA Park Shelter (151 S Water St). If you have groups of 10 or more interested in participating, please contact Jess Day at jday@southelgin.com. He'll help accommodate an ideal clean-up spot for large volunteer groups. We will be work to install native plantings along the shoreline; we will provide garbage bags and pick sticks for cleaning up trash along the riverfront and the creek in County Park

Recycling/Shredding/e-Waste Disposal:
JunkLuggers will be onsite (see informational flyer below); there's also a paper shredding opportunity from 9-11am (residential only - not business shredding - up to four banker boxes of documents allowed). NOTE: The boxes will be returned to residents; for shredding access turn south on Water Street from State Street.
