2022 End of Summer Music Fling
UPDATE: Due to the weather-related cancellation of End of Summer Music Fling, we are working on alternative plans with the bands and the fireworks vendor. We will share them once the details are finalized. The lack of overlapping availability of the four bands and multiple private rentals of the Panton Mill Park soundstage/pavilion this fall makes it impossible to run the identical event on another weekend; we will be working to re-book bands for later dates, perhaps even into summer 2023. Stay tuned for details.
UPDATE - August 20 - 8:55AM: Weather forecasts for Saturday, August 20 indicate 50-80% chances of rain and thunderstorms between 1-10pm. This is not conducive for a safe outdoor event, and the Village has chosen to postpone today's End of Summer Music Fling. We will continue to work on alternative plans with our musicians and fireworks contractor. In the meantime, the Village has made the difficult decision to cancel today's events early enough to allow our residents, performers and food vendors an opportunity to adjust plans prior to coming to Panton Mill Park. We apologize for the change of plans and look forward to upcoming opportunities this fall for community events and celebrations.NOTE: There's no denying weather-related concerns exist for Saturday's End of Summer Music Fling. It's our hope the entire day/evening of events runs without disruption. We'll monitor the various forecasts and post throughout Saturday if there are any changes or cancellations to the schedule. Come out to the Village of South Elgin's End of Summer Music Fling on August 20, 2022 at Panton Mill Park. It will be a day to enjoy music, food and drink, fireworks and fun!
Food and drink vendors include: Cesaroni BBQ, Dairy Queen, Inches Tacos, The Pasta Box, RK's (beer and wine only), Village Tavern, and Wise Guys. Food, water, soda, beer, wine and specialty drinks will be available. Outside Coolers are not allowed.
Music line-up includes:
12pm: Dynamix (ultimate classics cover band)
2:30pm: Will Thompson Band (rock-country-funk sound)
5pm: The Boy Band Night (boy band tribute)
7:30pm: Modern Day Romeos (one of Chicagoland's premier cover bands)
Fireworks begin at 9:30pm
Family Activities 12-5pm:
• inflatable bounce houses
• giant yard games
• face painting
Parking Options:
• Handicap parking will be available in front of Village Hall. Enter of State and Water Street.
• General parking will be available at SEBA Park, the new municipal lot at State and LaFox, municipal annex lots plus local side streets.
