Indoor Rentals: North Room Rental
The Municipal Annex Room is available for rent. The space is a great facility to hold a meeting, baby/bridal shower, and other events. A room rental request form must be completed at least 14 days prior to the rental date requested. For availability and questions, contact jday@southelgin.com. A deposit of $100 in the form of a check is due at the time of the request. Deposits will be returned within one week of the usage date if the facility is in the condition it was presented.

Room Rental Fees (Include Set-Up & Clean-Up Time When Figuring Total Cost):
Resident:
  • $45/hour: Monday-Friday until 9pm
  • $55/hour: Saturday and Sunday until 9pm
  • $15 flat rate for use of kitchen
Non-Resident:
  • $65/hour: Monday-Friday until 9pm
  • $80/hour: Saturday and Sunday until 9pm
  • $15 flat rate for use of kitchen


Outdoor Shelter Rentals

Shelters are available at Lions Park on the east side of town and Jim Hansen Park, SEBA Park, and Stowell-Peddy Park on the west side of town. The shelters are available for birthday parties, family reunions, general picnics, etc. Fee required upon booking along with a $100 deposit in the form of a check. For shelter reservations, call 847-622-0003 or stop by Village Hall. Reservation must be made two weeks prior to booking date. A $25 fee will be assessed if requested within two weeks of booking date.

Jim Hansen Park: picnic tables, electricity, USB ports, Port-a-Potty
Lions Park: picnic tables, electricity, Port-a-Potty
SEBA Park: picnic tables, electricity, flush toilets
Stowell Peddy Park: picnic tables, NO electricity, Port-a-Potty

Outdoor Facility Shelter reservations begin February 1, 2024. Rentals start May 1, 2024. Indoor facility reservations are now being accepted. To inquire about availability, contact the Parks & Recreation at (847) 622-0003.

Community Garden Plots - Sold out for 2024
We'll prepare the plots. All you have to do is plant...all of this for the low price of $30 for the entire season! Call 847-622-0003. For more information please call 847-622-0003. To register your plot, come to Village Hall, 10 North Water Street. At the time of registration, gardeners will be provided with a key for water access, garden plot rules and their plot assignment. First Day of Planting: May 1, 2024. There are two garden plot locations, see below for details:

Raymond Gardens
at 499 Raymond Street (near new east side fire station)
Raised Garden Plots-Handicap-Accessible 
Whether you have physical limitations or are simply tired of bending and reaching to garden, Raymond Gardens will serve all of your garden needs. EB

• Unlimited access to on-site water
• Mushroom compost to be used at your discretion
• Asphalt Handicap parking
• Fully accessible gardens via an asphalt path

Spring Gardens at 373 Spring Street
Is directly across from Willard Elementary School.  This is a well-lit, fenced, highly-visable area that will serve all of your garden needs. EB
