Portion of Route 31 Closed Effective 4/22/24
During the past few years of road renovation projects, the Village of South Elgin has concurrently replaced old street signs with newer, larger and more reflective ones. The Village has gathered as many of the salvageable old signs as possible. The signs are available for a $20 donation per sign, and they make great gifts and decor. 100% of the funds will be steered toward a Veterans Plaza installation.
The green street signs are available from the front desk at Village Hall. They can be purchased using cash, check or credit card. The signs are available on a first come, first serve basis.
Due to space limitations, we do not have all off the available signs stored at Village Hall, nor can we reserve signs not currently shown below. We have posted the chart below (www.southelgin.com/VetsPlaza) indicating the signs available as of October 5, 2022. and we will update the list on a monthly basis.
