Established by Ordinance 1999-26, the Planning and Zoning Commission consolidated the duties of the Planning Commission and the Zoning Board of Appeals. The commission consists of a chairman and six members appointed by the Village President. The Commission is responsible for conducting public hearings and reviewing applications that fall under the regulations in the Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances. Due to COVID-19 and the Governor’s mandate, the public may attend the meeting in person or remotely. Attendees wishing to attend the meeting remotely must notify Village staff of their remote attendance by 5 pm prior to the meeting by completing the online Appearance Form (see instructions below). Staff will then provide instructions on how to participate remotely. Members of the public participating remotely will be muted until the public comment portions of the meeting. Comments may be submitted in writing in advance of the meeting by mail, voicemail, or email. All comments received in advance of the meeting will be read aloud into the official record at the meeting.
